Aerospacelab has successfully launched its second satellite Grégoire into orbit, powered by Sparkwing.

The first satellite of the Very High Resolution (VHR) constellation of the Belgium satellite manufacturer is powered by two single panel Sparkwing solar arrays. During the maiden flight of Sparkwing, the panels successfully deployed shortly after launch and then proved to perform as expected.

The Sparkwing team is delighted to contribute to this exciting mission and is working on a batch of six additional  Sparkwing solar panels for Aerospacelab.

For satellite developers, one of the relevant factors for choosing Sparkwing to power smallsats is the short lead time of the solar array product: from order to delivery, this typically takes 9-10 months.
